Thank you everyone for being so patient in waiting for the Series Sup Regs for the 2014 Swann Insurance Australasian Superbike Championship and the Saturday YMF Loan Australian FX-Superbike Championship.
Now having secured the final bike prizes we have been able to finalise the regs and can now release them.
There is much anticipation and chat about what our FX based series will be like in 2014 with a number of high profile riders and teams deciding to race in the Superbike and Supersport classes. This all bodes well for lifting the profile of the series which is a very good thing for all involved in this great sport. However any successful race series isn’t just made up of high profile classes like Superbike. Our focus has not changed one iota from providing to all competitors the best value, most fun race series in Australia whether they are national champions in the Superbike class or a D grader in Formula Oz giving it a go for the first time. We pride ourselves on giving competitors as much track time as we can force in over our busy three day schedules and making the experience as enjoyable as possible. The five main classes we run we believe cater for the majority of competitors who race at a national level in this country.
Superpsort …. (no longer open present factory team riders etc.)
Formula Oz ….(a open race what you brung class again now no longer open to factory team riders etc.)
Pro-Twins & Nakedbikes …(Basically our version of BEARS with separate points for fared Sportsbikes & Nakedbikes)
FX300 Ninja & 250 Ninja Cup …(open to 300 and 250 Ninja’s, again not open to factory level team riders etc.)
TV & Electronic Media Coverage:
Again in 2014 the six round Sunday series will receive excellent television coverage with all rounds receiving 3 x 1 hour shows both on SBS Speedweek and Fox SPEED TV. Every class in the series gets TV coverage and will be shown on SBS, Fox Speed and the Live Streaming, none will miss out. Add up the hours and the Sunday Swann Series will get 36 hours of TV coverage in total, add in the Live Streaming on Sunday where every race is shown live via the internet and to mobile phones etc and the series ends up with approximately 80 hours of electronic media coverage. The Live Streaming can be downloaded later and viewed after the racing as well.
Interstate Travel Packages:
This year we have secured some very affordable bike and gear transport packages from Sydney to SA, Vic and the Queensland rounds for privateer riders. It is only a $300 fee for a return bike and gear transport to SA from Sydney and $200 to both Winton and the QR rounds. Please contact us to find out more about the travel packages, I’m at present getting quotes to offer to the Queensland competitors for the SA round as well.
We have reduced the cross and second entry fees this year for those planning to do more than one class. The main entry fees have remained the same again in 2014 as they have been since 2012 despite various track hire increases etc. I would like to make it clear; entry fees pay for the track hire and the basic running costs of the race meeting. I believe most people would understand for a series to remain stable and sustainable these basic costs need to be paid for otherwise it has no future. We invite everyone to compare what we have on offer, with the massive track time every competitor gets at every round, in TV coverage, in prizes for privateers and the classes that provide affordable level playing field racing for the broadest range of competitors from A though to D grade in all classes. We are proud of how our race meetings are run for everyone to make them fun and that will not change this year, we invite you to come along and race with us, whether it is at one round or the whole series.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and we hope that you decide to race with us in 2014.
